My Services

Writing Coaching

Whether for high school papers, college assignments, or personal projects, I am here to help you reach your goals and discover your voice as a writer.

Our work together is completely self-guided. We will go at your preferred pace, but expect to be challenged as both a thinker and a brainstormer. I pride myself in my ability to connect with my students, and my preferred method of coaching involves questions that make students think beyond a prompt or assignment.

If you are looking for someone to do the work for you, I am not her. But who I am is someone who will encourage you, be your biggest cheerleader, and equip you with the tools necessary to succeed on your own by exercising your voice. I believe that writing is a superpower that can change minds and hearts; it’s an honor to help students unlock their potential.

About 25% of my students have previously been diagnosed with learning differences, and I feel blessed to help them navigate these differences with confidence and security in who they are.

College Application Essay Help

Together, you and I will ensure your essays are inventive, original and speak to who you are. While I will never write FOR you, the ways in which we’ll navigate this process together will ensure you come out the other side a better and more confident writer.

The truth is, college application essays are extremely important in conveying to the admissions committee what you have to offer to a university campus. Too often, students are guided by high school counselors to write stories that sound good in theory, but are lacking personality, truth and genuine emotion. By extension, they are often writing a story that admissions will read a thousand times that year. Each student has a story to tell, and uncovering that story is half the battle.

My goal is first and foremost to get to know the student, discover his or her story, and work in tandem to develop a story that drives home such important themes as hard work, selflessness, compassion and purpose.

Resume/Cover Letter Assistance

Organizing and perfecting your resume and cover letter are critical for securing internships, applying to college, and getting a call back for a second interview.

Cover letters are undoubtedly a company’s first introduction to a potential employee. When you can’t meet face-to-face, words carry a little more weight—and they happen to last beyond the initial meeting.

Additionally, resume etiquette is constantly changing, from college applications to sorority recruitment to job interviews. Grammar matters, sure, but so does communicating one’s potential via past experiences. Finding these words and utilizing them in the most affective ways makes a huge difference.

Sorority Packets/Folders

Completely design, organize and finalize physical and virtual packets to ensure students feel confident in the first impression they are sending to sororities.

Packets and folders are not a thing of the past; in fact, in our digital age, they are becoming more important than ever. My approach is hands-on, meticulous, detailed and creative. No two folders are exactly alike, and the student’s personality is always evidenced in the material. For more information, please contact me about your specific needs.

Sorority Recruitment Preparation

Meet with me one-on-one to prepare for recruitment. I’ll answer your questions, we’ll discuss outfits, dos and don’ts and how to leave a good impression, and even what dirty rushing is and how to avoid it.

Most of my students describe this part of the process as the one that “reintroduces excitement back into the recruitment process.” It’s easy to become intimidated by the idea of rush, but together, we will focus on confidence-building, conversation starters, what questions to avoid, what questions to prepare for, and how to leave the best impression.

Please know: you can ask me any question regarding recruitment and I will always give honest feedback. Additionally, parents are welcome and even encouraged to sit in on these meetings to better understand recruitment.

Sorority Workshops

With a group of ten or more, I offer in-person or Zoom-style conferences where we do a mock run-through of recruitment. Often times, this is a private event held at a boutique for shopping, eating and more.

Workshops usually last three hours, with an entire hour dedicated to answering questions. Schools, athletic programs/teams, and clubs are encouraged! The minimum requirement of attendees is 10 and the maximum simply depends on the venue. Please reach out for further details.
